Q: Let’s start things off on a fun note – what is your favorite app currently, and what do you love about it?

A: Spotify is my favorite app. I love to always have something in my ears, whether it’s music or a podcast. The ability to put on a personalized playlist that is recommendation-based and trained by what I listen to is perfect for my change of moods and music taste. As a Swede, I am also a bit biased since Spotify is Swedish 🇸🇪.

Q: For our readers who may not be familiar, could you tell us about Bidease?

A: Bidease is a fully transparent programmatic DSP that specializes in mobile app marketing and app promotion. At the top of my list are our investments in owned and operated inventory (specifically from emerging markets like the Middle East and North Africa), mediation services, and updates to our proprietary servers.

We’re also researching the benefits of neural networks and deep learning models, which process data in a way similar to the human brain. Ultimately, our goal is to reduce our clients’ time-to-goal so they can reach their KPIs faster and improve their performance with more accurate models. This ties into our overall App growth strategies and growth hacker marketing approach.

For trends, I recommend keeping an eye on EU data privacy policy. For example, Facebook and Instagram users now have the option to opt out of advertising by paying for an ad-free subscription. I think it’s going to be interesting to see how many users would rather pay than see ads. I imagine it’s just a matter of time until all social networks will offer a similar subscription option for their users. If so, then that’s even more reason to scale marketing efforts on other apps outside of social media.
